Why is time unsteady?
It pushes on always
Unclear what to do
Sometimes it runs
Sometimes it walks
Or crawls along 
Or acts like it doesn't belong 
Sometimes time seems sick
Like it has caught the flu 
Sometimes it slips by 
Playing a prank on you 

So I wonder why? 
Time is so unsteady 
Is the zeitgeist a poltergeist?
Or just a spirit with the flu? 
Whatever it is. It’s probably just 
playing a prank on you
